You will enjoy this small semi-private group walking tour where you will have a visit inside the infamous Colosseum where
you will hear the blood and guts stories of the gladiatorial games that
went on for almost 500 years. You will almost be able hear the roar of
100 lions and trumpets heralding "Let the games begin".
Then hear how the Roman Empire was founded as we follow in the footsteps of Julius Caesar, Marc Antony and Cleopatra and descend into the Roman Forum travelling back almost 3,000 years in time. Your guide will reconstruct the main temples and basilicas and will bring these ancient stones to life for you.
You will appreciate the magnificence and glory of what was the "Caput Mundi" - the centre of the Roman Empire and the known civilized world.
You will visit the site where Julius Caesar was cremated and you will hear about his important role in Roman history.
You will then take in the magnificent Capitoline Square with the statue of Marcus Aurelius.
