You will meet your guide in Piazza Venezia, beneath the Vittorio Emanuele II monument. You will hear the history of this amazing monument often referred to as "the typewriter" or "the wedding cake".
You will then have a leisurely stroll to take in the breathtaking beauty of Rome, the Eternal City, as the sun starts to set. On your walk you will take in the Capitoline Hill with the piazza designed by Michelangelo and with it's centrepiece bronze of Emperor Marcus Aurelia.
From here you will stroll to the beautiful Trevi Fountain where you will have time to throw in your coins in thus ensuring your return to Rome. Then stroll along the cobblestone streets to the Pantheon with it's amazing dome and history.
Then another stroll to Piazza Navona where you will hear the history of Bernini's Fountain of the Four Rivers and the Church of St Agnes with the famous statue by Borromini.
The tour will end in Piazza Navona where you can choose to remain and stroll around and check out the talented street artists and clowns. You can also ask your tour guide for suggestions for the great Roman wine bars or restaurants in the area.
