On the drive from Rome to Naples you will enjoy the view of the famous Abbey of Montecassino and the beautiful Roman countryside. You will then arrive at one of the most important archaeological sites in the world: Pompei!.

You will then have a professional guided tour of the haunting ruins of Pompei where you will be taken back to the fateful day in 79AD when neighbouring Mt Vesuvious erupted covering the prosperous Roman city in deadly volcanic ash.

Accidentally rediscovered in 1952, Pompei has provided an extraordinary detailed insight into the life of a city at the height of the Roman Empire. Today this UNESCO World Heritage site is one the most popular tourist attractions in Italy.

As you wander the ruins you will see the incredible frescoes, the mosaic floors, the Dancing Fawn and the petrified bodies, all the time, you will have an amazing view of Mt Vesuvius in the background.
