We begin our Vatican tour with the highlights of almost 2,000 rooms in the Vatican Museum. It is estimated that if you spend 60 seconds in front of every item, it would take approximately 12 years!

Included will be the Rooms of Raphael, the Belvedere Courtyard, Gallery of the Maps, Gallery of the Tapestries etc and culminating this amazing visit in the magnificent Sistine Chapel.

You will be given a full understanding of the work by Michelangelo in the Sistine Chapel. Your guide will cover the 9 scenes of the Book of Genisis painted on the ceiling of the Chapel and the painting of the Last Judgement.

The tour will then continue with the history of the Vatican City State and the magnificence of Bernini’s colonnade before entering St Peter’s Basilica.

Highlights include Michelangelo's Pietà and the magnificent dome, the Baldacchino by Bernini, the Holy Alter as well as other monuments of artistic importance. Hear the story of the Popes and of the world’s largest Catholic Church.

You may see many sites in Rome, but none will leave you with such a feeling of awe as the majesty and grandeur of the Sistine Chapel and the Vatican.
